Greater Austin Area Information Literacy Symposium (GAAILS) 2018

Date: January 12, 2018
RSVP: (Breakfast and lunch will be provided, so if you plan to come, please RSVP so that we will have an accurate headcount)
Purpose and Focus: To focus on information literacy initiatives in public, school, academic, and special libraries in the Austin area. Sessions will explore timely topics and practical solutions in information literacy and library instruction, and will allow time to share ideas and initiatives and develop relationships across the library field. Any library professionals in the Austin area with an interest in information literacy are welcome to attend and to apply to present.


Call for Proposals: Any topics related to information literacy are welcome in four session types.‚Äč Submission deadline is October 9, 2017.  
  • 20-minute presentations
  • 45-minute panel presentation (good for 3+ presenters)
  • 7-minute lightning talks
  • 45-minute Round table discussion (presenter serves as the moderator).

More Information: This one-day symposium is free for all attendees. Lunch will be provided.
