In-Class Activity

Set 1 - Sugar

Set 2 - Sugar

To do independently: Open both of your group's sources, skim them to get an idea of what they're about and notice the important characteristics of each source. Feel free to use Google if you need to learn more some aspect of your sources.

Then: Talk about your sources at your table, use the following questions (feel free to record on a whiteboard):

  • Who created this source? Can you find out more about them?
  • What evidence did the authors use to create this source?
  • Is this a credible source that you could use to help make decisions about your health?
  • What criteria (more than one, probably) did you use to help you make this decision?
