Preserving Web Sites using WinHTTrack

How to use WinHTTrack to create dehydrated, navigable, offline copies of web sites.

Installing WinHTTrack

Installing HTTrack

WinHTTrack has a user-friendly installer.  Most versions of the program come with an installer designed for specific versions of Windows (64 and 32-bit), ranging from Vista to 10.  If you’ve installed other programs on a Windows machine its very similar.   One option you should be sure to check the box for is “Register WinHTTrack file types and program setup.”  This will make it easier for Windows to read your files and convert them into offline content.
