UT Resources for research support

The Department of Statistics and Data Sciences offers statistical consulting to all UT students, faculty and staff. Statistical consultants assist with questions about research or survey design, data analysis, appropriate model selection, power and sample size calculations, use of statistical software, and interpretation of results.

Electronic Research Administration The University has its own internal research management system known as RMS which tracks all sponsored project proposals and awards. Additionally, each Sponsor may have its own proprietary system through which you will need to interface during the lifecycle of your award. Authorizations for electronic systems are role-specific and you'll have to apply for authorization.

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) serves as the coordinating office for externally funded research and sponsored projects at The University of Texas at Austin. The OSP assists research faculty and staff with: proposal review, authorization, and submission; award negotiations and acceptance; account management; close-out, reports, audits, collection; professional development and education; export control, and research compliance.
