Using the library search engine

What does this box search?

Most of the things! You can use this search to find peer reviewed articles and books.

Personally, for articles, I prefer the databases organized by subject (see find peer-reviewed articles page at left) because the search is tidier. The search on www.lib.utexas.edu is too broad. But it's the only place to find our books. And I can help you use it more efficiently.

you can limit to just books or just articles from lib.utexas.edu, or you can use keywords in a broad all-encompassing search

use limiters at left, including available online, to eliminate print materials, peer reviewed, to eliminate all but journals, date limiters, which is topic-specific, and subjects if you want to limit to a perspective.
