Services We Provide

Services available through UT Libraries

Need help locating a book or finding sources for a paper? Ask us in person at the front desk, give us a call at 512-495-4300, or Ask a Librarian.

Consultations

For more in-depth questions, request a consultation with a librarian who specializes in your field of study. Make an appointment with a librarian or the Coordinator of Library Services for Users with Disabilities and Assistive Technology. Please let us know if you need any accommodation during these meetings.

Paging

Pick It Up imageLet us pull books from the shelves for you or have them sent from another location so you can pick them up all in one place. In the library catalog, click Pick It Up and the materials will be available for you at the library desk of your choosing within a couple of days.

Enable someone else to check out cards on your behalf. To request a proxy borrower card, visit the Courtesy Borrower Services Desk, PCL 2.122, or call 512-496-4305.

Need a digital copy of an item? Search in Hathi Trust or click the Get A Scan button in the catalog.

Get assistance with scanners or photocopiers at the front desk. Depending on the volume of requests, library staff members may request that you return for the materials later. Library Copier Services can make copies for users with differing abilities at the self-service price.

Contact Library Copier Services, PCL 1.102, 512-495-4239 during their regular hours.
