The UT Libraries has a huge collections of books and ebooks. You can find both by searching the Library Catalog as follows:
Step 1: From www.lib.utexas.edu, scroll past the search box and click Books & Media.
Step 2: Enter search terms for your topic, a book title or an author in the search box.
Step 3: Look over your list of results. You will see a mix of resource types
To get a print book:
- Click on the book title to go into the full record.
- Sign in with your EID
- Click "Pick it Up"
- You will receive an email from the Libraries when it the book is ready for you to pick up from the PCL Desk. You'll need to bring your ID card to enter PCL and check out the book (contactless check out). During the pandemic, you can't browse the shelves but instead must use Pick it Up to request any print book from the Libraries collections. For more, see this page.
To use an ebook:
- Click "Available Online."
- Click the link under View Online. The link will be the name of the vendor or publisher where we get the ebook (ex: Taylor & Francis).
- Log in with your EID and access the book.
