Google Search Tips

Using Google for Research

Google can be very helpful as a research tool.

  • At the start of your research, Google your topic to find out more so you can narrow to a question or problem to solve.
  • Find data, stats, reports and other information published by the government (.gov) and non-profits (.org) A lot of this information is only published on the Web.

Just as with all sources, make sure you evaluate what you find before using it!
