Government Sites in Transition

Looking for something that used to be there?

For keeping track of changes in federal agencies and for finding data, these sites can help:

 

The library subscription to Coherent Digital includes access to saved copies of reports, including from U.S. federal agencies.


Very basic advice from one experienced user of federal agency websites:

  • If a valued page is gone at the location you knew, don't give up:
    • Do a browser search for the content to see if it has been posted in a new location.
    • Use the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to find the page at a past date.

 

Also, watch out for material that has been quietly changed.
