Welcome to the library guide for TC 303D: Plan II World Literatures. Your course librarian is Gina Bastone.
This guide is designed to aid you in your library research for your final paper. We'll use the guide during our library session with Gina on Tuesday, January 25.
It corresponds to a short online worksheet (Google Form), due in early February. It is designed to prepare you for your annotated bibliography assignment, and walks you step-by-step through the library search process.
Use the tabs on the left side to fill out the online worksheet (2. Brainstorming Search Terms and 3. Library Databases & Search Tools). If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact Gina!
We are all adjusting to online classes, but our librarians are working from home and available to help you! Here are some help options:
Background Information can save you time by giving you an overview of your topic. Learn about concepts, vocabulary, and events related to your texts. Background information can help you brainstorm keywords that will bring you better search results in subject-specific databases. You can also find scholarly alternatives to Wikipedia articles in these resources.
Below are some good places to start. We'll use these in class on January 25.
