The Chicago Manual of Style Online (CMS) corresponds to the full-text of the printed Chicago Manual of Style. The database covers a variety of topics from manuscript preparation and publication to grammar, usage, documentation and citation guidelines. Additional topics include how to handle illustrations, quotations, foreign phrases, and mathematics in text. Also included is a section on rights and permissions. The database serves as a complete handbook of editing. Two (selectable) complete editions are included in the online database, the 17th edition originally published in 2017, and the 18th edition originally published in 2024.
It's pretty common to get frustrated with all the citation styles out there. Use NoodleTools because it allows you to choose a type of resource to cite in a drop down menu. There are options for images, video clips (like youtube), films and a ton more. It's the fastest and most accurate way to cite.
