ATTENTION: PubMed has changed to a new API structure. This may cause issues for older versions of EndNote when attempting to search the PubMed database and producing the message “No matching references.”
- EndNote X8: If you have EndNote X8, this will not be an issue.
- EndNote X7: If you are running EndNote X7, be sure to update to version X7.7.1 (Go to this link and look for EndNote X7: Updates in the Hot Topics list).
- EndNote X6 and prior: These versions will no longer be able to search PubMed reliably from inside of EndNote. To continue using EndNote X6 and prior with PubMed, records will need to be downloaded from the NLM website using the steps in this article (Go to this link and search for 82608). If you need to work with PubMed in the future, we recommend upgrading to the current version of EndNote.
