How to get books in print

Finding and using books during a pandemic

Our collections are still available for you to check out, but we no longer allow you to browse the shelves. As such, we you need to request that the book you find on our library website is held for you at the desk in PCL. You may also request a scan of a chapter or section of a book if you are living away from campus. Use the Pick it Up option and Get a Scan option in the library catalog record of the book you want.

The example below shows a book that is only available in print - you can request to Pick it Up from PCL or else you can Get a Scan of a section or chapter of the book.

When you find a book you want and it's only available in print, you will likely need to sign in to see what options you have to get ahold of the book.once you sign in, you can either request to pick it up at pcl, or you can get a scan of parts of the book - like a chapter or section. You can use the index to choose multiple pages to get scanned.
