OpenDyslexic is a typeface designed to increase readability for people with dyslexia.
OpenDyslexic is now available at the UT Libraries as a Chrome extension and system font on our Windows & macOS public devices.
The Chrome extension will convert most text on any webpage into the OpenDyslexic typeface.
To use the Chrome extension:
- Go to the upper-right area of the Chrome browser and click on the puzzle piece symbol
- In the following Extensions list, look for "OpenDyslexic for Chrome"

- Toggle the typeface on or off and select to view in standard, bold, or italic, from the drop-down menu.

To use the system font:
Open the application of your choice, such as Microsoft Excel or Word, and search for "OpenDyslexic" in the font drop-down to create your file using the typeface
