Directions

JSTOR personal accounts are free, and allow you to connect through UT for off-campus access.

With a personal account, you can:

  • Access your UT's content, even when you're not on campus.
  • Ensure that you're finding and saving material that UT provides access to.
  • Quickly sign in to JSTOR directly from the JSTOR site no matter where you're doing your research.

To pair your personal account to your institution's account:

1. First, click below to access JSTOR through UT.

2. Next, create a personal account by clicking Register on the top right of the page or Log in to your existing personal account.

Your personal account is now paired with UT. The next time you want to sign in through UT, you can sign in to your personal account to get access to UT's subscription.

Remote access to JSTOR through personal account pairing lasts 365 days.

Personal account pairing to UT will be automatically renewed when logging into JSTOR while on campus.

ARTstor

If you are an Artstor user, you also have the option to access JSTOR through Artstor the following ways:

  1. If you have access to Artstor or previously registered for an account on Artstor, the email address and password you used to log into Artstor also works on JSTOR.
  2. If you have logged into your Artstor account within the last 120 days, you will have access to content UT subscribes to from JSTOR and Artstor.
  3. If you usually log in to your Artstor account through your UT's log in link, you can now do that on JSTOR as well.

Artstor remote access lasts 365 days.
