What is an Annotated Bibliography?

An annotated bibliography is a list of resources where each resource is followed by a short descriptive text or annotation. The annotation usually serves three purposes:

  1. Summarize the resource
  2. Evaluate the resource
  3. Reflect on how the resource relates to your research
