Geocoding is the computational process of transforming a postal address description to a location on the Earth's surface (spatial representation in numerical coordinates). Below are links to online geocoding services.
- https://www.doogal.co.uk/BatchGeocoding.php - this service is my favorite for the following reasons:
  - It covers the world - be sure to us the drop-down menu to tell it which country or choose "Multiple countries" at the top.
  - You can tell it what output data you would like.
  - While the initial view is a map, they have a tab titled Text and a handy button to download text.
- MyGeoPosition - lets you enter a single address or drag and drop a pin on the map to get coordinates.
- Texas A&M Geocoding Services - is a great service, but has its drawbacks:
  - Provides geocoding for US addresses only.
  - Results are very intense (many columns of redundant information) and tend to confuse online mapping services.
