Object files are produced and stored at an artwork's holding institution. If your work has been exhibited in the past, the provenance may appear on the website for the exhibition. See Exhibit catalogs, left, if you need to check a print source instead.
Try searching for your work on a gallery or museum website that you know held or showed the work at one time.
If you do not yet know where the work is held or where it has been exhibited, you may need to dive into that research first.
