If you wish to search in the UT Libraries' catalog in the original script, start your search in the OCLC Advanced Search database (also known as WorldCat). Then limit your search using "Limit availability to" and "items in my library." Best practices include searching by title and/or author in the original script; keywords in original script will not be as effective in the OCLC database.

When searching the UT Libraries' catalog for non-Roman script materials, it is best to use the Library of Congress transliteration standards. Bear in mind that cataloging is a human, and therefore fallible, endeavor, so try multiple fields (title and/or author, subject, keyword and keyword strings) and simplify your search as much as possible to catch a larger number of potentially useful results.
