About the Learning Labs

Features of the Learning Labs

The Learning Labs, active learning classrooms, have these features:

  • open as collaborative study space when not in use as classrooms
  • multiple white boards (dry erase markers are available from the Desk in the PCL Lobby)
  • room schedule panels indicating availability are located outside each Learning Lab
  • AirMedia available for instructors and students to connect their mobile devices to the flat screen TVs and projector screens during classes
  • AirMedia available for students to connect their mobile devices to flat screen TVs for collaborative study (in Learning Labs 2, 3, and 4 only)
  • food and drink allowed

Learning Lab 1

Technology:

8 screens and projectors for instructor use only (uses AirMedia)

Instructors may project on multiple screens or enable students to connect to individual screens

Other features: By request, can divide room in half using a retractable wall

Learning Labs 2, 3 and 4

Technology:

6 flat screen TVs for use by instructors or students (uses AirMedia)

Instructors may project on multiple flat screen TVs or enable students to connect to individual screens

Students may connect to flat screen TVs outside of class time
