Linguistics Research at the UT Libraries

Want to look for articles and books on a topic?   Here is a handy tool to help you generate search terms.

Begin with  LLBA (Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts) and supplement as needed with indexes and resources in Anthropology, Education, Literature, etc.

Follow links to the articles from citations, locate the print if applicable, and request unowned items via Interlibrary Loan.

Follow these discovery paths to locate a known work:

  • Search for the title of the book in which a target chapter appears in the library catalog
  • Search for the JOURNAL TITLE of a target article and navigate to the needed year, volume and issue
  • Another option is to search for a combination of title and author of a work in the"Articles and More"  search box; Advanced Search adds the ability to search by field
  • Try this handy Citation Linker -- works great if you have a full citation.
