Linguistics Research at the UT Libraries

Want to look for articles and books on a topic?   Here is a handy tool to help you get started with terms.

Use a search tool such as LLBA (Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts), and other databases.

Follow links to the articles from citations, locate the print if applicable, and request unowned items via Interlibrary Loan.

Follow these tips to locate a known work:

  • Search for the title of the book that a target chapter appears using the library catalog
  • Search for the JOURNAL TITLE of a target article and navigate to the needed volume and issue
  • OR plug a combination of title and author of a work in  "Articles and More" -- search box; Advanced Search enables you to search by field
  • The handy Citation Linker works great if you have a full citation as well.
