UGS 302: Leading, Resolving, & Flowing in a Complex World - Profs. Susswein and Castor

Welcome!

Why am I here and what is this guide?

Welcome to PCL! I'll meet with you during two of your classes and we are going to learn about doing research at the college level. We'll use this guide during class and it will be available all semester so you can use it as a jumping off point when you're working on your paper later in the semester.

You're going to learn:

1. How to find and evaluate information, including peer-reviewed articles and primary sources

2. How to manage and cite your sources and avoid plagiarism

3. How AI can help with research and what to look out for

4. How to get help with research, writing and more

How Librarians Can Help

We can help you at any point in your research process. Ask me for help:

1. Choosing a topic

2. Finding and evaluating sources, including finding the full text of a source

3. Managing and citing sources

Email me or use the online scheduler under my picutre to set up a time for an online or in-person consultation. No questions are too minor. I look forward to helping you!
