UGS 303: Music, Protest & Social Movements - Drott

Welcome!

Why am I here and what is this guide?

Welcome to PCL! Today we are going to talk about doing research at the college level. We'll use this guide during class and it will be available all semester so you can use it as a jumping off point when you're working on your research projects this semester.

Our learning goals are:

1. create an effective search strategy to find the type of information you need.

2. describe the difference primary and secondary sources

3. find and use the tools you need to search for and cite articles

How Librarians Can Help

We can help you at any point in your research process. Ask me for help:

1. Choosing a topic

2. Finding and evaluating sources, including finding the full text of a source

3. Managing and citing sources

Email either one of us or use the online scheduler under our pictures to set up a time for an online or in-person consultation. No questions are too minor. We look forward to helping you!
