To do on your own: Open your sources and read through for about 5 minutes - you won't be able to read all of them, but you can get an idea of what the sources are about, and think about what evidence the author used. Use Google if you need help finding out more about the article. Notice the structure of the article and any characteristics about the article that you want to discuss with your group.
Then talk with your group about the following:
1. What kind of source is this?
2. Who published it and what can you find out about the publisher?
3. What perspective on Australia/China is this source from?
4. What evidence do the authors provide?
5. What other questions do you have about this source/what else is important or special about this source?
We're going to talk about each article together and your group will tell the class about your article as a way of starting discussion.
