When searching for news, it is important to evaluate each article you find on a case by case basis.
For today's activity, we are going to evaluate articles based on these criteria:
- What evidence does the author cite?
- Is it an opinion/viewpoint or is it reporting/informational?
- Did you investigate the author and/or the publication more? What did you learn?
When we are done, we will ask ourselves what role these articles can play in our research, even if we decide not to use them.
