You Are Here: Shifting Perspectives

Maps can transport us to different parts of the world. They not only provide us with a visual representation of the physical world but also offer a glimpse into the perspective of the map maker. The PCL Map Room, located in PCL 1.306, houses a vast collection of over 250,000 maps dating from 1900 to the present day and representing all areas of the world.

Come to browse the collection and view a diverse exhibit of maps showcasing Austin and the surrounding area. Whether you're a student, a researcher, or simply a curious individual, the PCL Map Room is a must-visit destination that will expand your knowledge of geography and cartography. So come on by and explore the world through the eyes of map makers!
