Finding Broadcasts, Videos, and Commercials

Finding broadcasts, videos, and commercials can be difficult and time-consuming. Here are a few strategies to help you find them using library and web resources.

  • First, decide if you are searching for a video, a broadcast (or broadcast transcript), or commercial.
  • Focus on the format. Would you find it on the radio, television, or film screen? Or would you find it on the internet or social networks?
  • Determine a year or date range for your search.
  • Decide if you are focusing on a specific company, network, product, show, person, or film.

Once you have this information, begin your research using the resources listed below.
