LCAE Guide

PCL is open to provide the following services during posted hours.

• Independent study on the entry level (2nd floor). Furniture has been arranged to ensure social distancing. You may attend your online class in Zoom using your own device or a Libraries workstation. Instructions are here.
• Use of PCs, Assistive Technology, printing, scanning and microfilm readers. See Computers, Printing and Scanning for more information.
• Pick up of requested materials from the PCL Desk.
• Pick up of printed posters from the PCL Desk.

Entering and Using PCL:

• All users must swipe in with their current UT ID card. Non UT-ID card holders may not enter the building.
• To ensure social distancing, a limited number of people may be in PCL at any given time. You may check current occupancy here.

The following service changes and restrictions are in place to ensure health and safety:

• Research help is available virtually only. See Research Help and Library Instruction for information.
• Technology help is available virtually only. See Computers, Printing and Technology for information.
• All collaborative study rooms, including group study rooms, and the Graduate Landing Spot, are unavailable.
• There is no access to the 1st (ground), 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th floors of PCL.
• PCL closed studies for permanent faculty and graduate students in candidacy are now available for application and will be assigned in September.
• Equipment checkout and some courtesy office supplies are not available.
• University Writing Center consultations and services are all available virtually.
• PCL STEM Study Center Tutoring is available virtually.
