Taiwan Studies Guide

The East Asia Social Survey (EASS) is a biennial social survey project that serves as a cross-national network of four General Social Survey type surveys in East Asia -- the Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS), the Japanese General Social Survey (JGSS), the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS), and the Taiwan Social Change Survey (TSCS).

The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) of Executive Yuan, handles the national budget, accounting and statistics affairs. It has been in existence for over 90 years and has been reorganized numerous times since its inception.

Managed by Academia Sinica, the database collects and maintains research survey data. Datasets come from various sources, including education and research institutions, government agencies, and industries. Currently, there are over 2,000 datasets available for public access.
