Affiliation with the OnRamps program allows for a UT Extension EID which will allow you off campus (remote) access to nearly all of our databases and the subscriptions held within. You also have off campus access to the ebooks in our collection. Due to licensing agreements with certain vendors, some databases and ebooks are only available here on the UT Austin campus. You will see a note, “Available On Campus Only” designating you will not be allowed to access the material remotely.
You do not have access to our subscription to nyt.com.
If you are having trouble with off campus access to our materials, you will likely be able to diagnose the issue using this guide.
If your access troubles persist, you must contact the OnRamps help desk. The most common issue users face is holding multiple EIDs which must be merged into one. Only the OnRamps helpdesk can do this for you.
You also have full access to a free citation manager, NoodleTools.
Please note that your EID will not allow you to use Ask a Librarian chat services.
Your EID does not allow you access to our Interlibrary Loan Services (ILS). Use your local library to explore options available to you.
Please note that you cannot obtain a Library Account (My Account link on the UT Library website). Do not attempt to access this part of the UT Libraries site.
