Connection Instructions

Students may connect to the flat screen TVs in Learning Labs 2, 3 and 4 when studying.
During classes, instructors may enable students to connect to the flat screen TVs in Learning Labs 2, 3 and 4 and to the projector screens in Learning Lab 1. To connect during classes, start with step 3.
1. Find the control panel located on the wall to the left when you enter the Learning Lab. The sign above it says "Tap Here to Use the Flat Panels."

3.Login to the UT Wireless Network with your EID + password. It will say "limited" for up to 10 seconds; wait until it says "connected"]
4. Open a browser window and type in the URL listed at the bottom of the closest flat screen TV or projector screen.

5. You will be prompted to download the AirMedia sofware for Mac or Windows.
6. Once you've downloaded AirMedia and click to open it, a prompt may appear asking you to update. DO NOT UPDATE. Close out of that dialog box. Another box may appear asking you to agree to a privacy agreement. Select Agree. Next, it may ask about Session Delegation. Select Okay.
7. Enter the code displayed on the flat screen TV or projector screen. The code is near the URL you entered earlier.
For PCs:
  • Your laptop/mobile device should now display on the flat screen TV.
For Macs:
  • Most Macs then display an error screen saying the AirMedia certificate cannot be verified or there are no receivers available. If this is the case, select the control center on the top right of your task bar. Under Screen Mirroring, there should be an extend option to AirMedia. If there is no option listed, close out of AirMedia, delete the downloaded client and try downloading it again. Make sure that you do not update.
