This guide is designed to support the course, MNS 367K, Human Exploration & Exploitation of the Sea with Dr. Min. The purpose of the guide is to help you navigate the various resources and find information for:

Course description: Review of the history of ocean exploration including major oceanographic expeditions. Discussion of current topics in ocean exploration and exploitation of marine resources, the impact of resource exploitation on biological systems, and the development of marine policy. An oral presentation is required. 

Primary course goals: (1) review the exploration and the development of current oceanographic concepts and technologies (2) explore how resource exploitation modifies marine systems and (3) examine current topics in oceanography that link human activities and ecosystem function.
