NEXRAD (Next Generation Weather Radar)
NEXRAD is a network of 160 high-resolution S-band Doppler weather radars jointly operated by the National Weather Service (NWS), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the U.S. Air Force. The NEXRAD system detects precipitation and wind, and its data can be processed to map precipitation patterns and movement. NCEI provides access to archived NEXRAD Level-II data and Level-III products.
NOAA/NWS Environmental Modeling Center
EMC is responsible for the development and implementation of more than 20 numerical prediction systems. Numerical weather prediction uses mathematical models of earth's systems to predict the weather based on current conditions.
NOAA/NCEP Climate Forecast System
The CFS version 2 was developed at the Environmental Modeling Center at NCEP. It is a fully coupled model representing the interaction between the Earth's atmosphere, oceans, land and sea ice. It became operational at NCEP in March 2011.
NOAA NCEI Climate Data Online
CDO provides free access to NCDC's archive of global historical weather and climate data in addition to station history information. These data include quality controlled daily, monthly, seasonal, and yearly measurements of temperature, precipitation, wind, and degree days as well as radar data and 30-year Climate Normals.
NOAA/HRRR
The High Resolution Rapid Refresh is a NOAA real-time 3-km resolution, hourly updated, cloud-resolving, convection-allowing atmospheric model, initialized by 3km grids with 3km radar assimilation. Radar data is assimilated in the HRRR every 15 min over a 1-h period adding further detail to that provided by the hourly data assimilation from the 13km radar-enhanced Rapid Refresh.
PRISM Climate Data
The PRISM Climate Group gathers climate observations from a wide range of monitoring networks, applies sophisticated quality control measures, and develops spatial climate datasets to reveal short- and long-term climate patterns. The resulting datasets incorporate a variety of modeling techniques and are available at multiple spatial/temporal resolutions, covering the period from 1895 to the present. (Oregon State Univ.)

SPEI Global Drought Monitor
The SPEI Global Drought Monitor offers near real-time information about drought conditions at the global scale, with a 1 degree spatial resolution and a monthly time resolution. SPEI time-scales between 1 and 48 months are provided. The calibration period for the SPEI is January 1950 to December 2010. The starting date of the dataset is 1955 in order to provide common information across the different SPEI time-scales.
