SciENcv

This guide was created in March 2020, prior to the implementation of PAPPG-20 for NSF grants. PAPPG-20 stands for Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide, and requires the use of a tool called SciENcv for the biosketch portion of grants.

Adding Citations Manually

Introduction

Adding citations manually will likely be the most time-consuming method to get items into My Bibliography. It requires one-by-one entry into fields and each citation has multiple fields. It also is the most prone to human error.

I recommend using the manual option as sparingly as possible. When you are using it, copying and pasting can reduce human errors.

1.) Entering Citations Manually into My Bibliography

  1. Navigate to My Bibliography (a My NCBI tool)
  2. Click Add citation and then select Manually from the dropdown menu.
  3. Type or copy and paste information from another document into each of the fields.
