If you choose to attend an online class or take a proctored test in PCL, please use headphones so as not to disturb other users. Headphones are available for checkout from the PCL Desk.

FAQs

Can I use Zoom on a Libraries computer?

Yes. Libraries iMacs have built in webcams/microphones but Libraries PCs do not. We encourage the use of headphones so as not to disturb other users. Download the Zoom client from https://utexas.zoom.us/ and choose Join, Host, or Sign In.  See these detailed instructions

Can I use Proctorio or other proctoring software on Libraries computers?

Proctorio and testing software that relies on proctoring is not available on Libraries computers.

Is there a place for me to take a proctored test on my own laptop in PCL?

There are no individual, closed study spaces in PCL. Group study rooms are not available for individual use. If you are comfortable taking a proctored test in an open space, floors 3, 4 and 6 are designated as quiet floors.
