EndNote

Getting Started

EndNote is a commercially developed and maintained product.  That means that there is a charge to buy the desktop version of the software but also that Clarivate, the company behind the software, provides user guides and help.

EndNote is designed as a desktop product, with a mobile option.

 For the mobile option

  • If you are away from your desktop access to EndNote, you may log in to the EndNote Web and collect citations which can be transferred to your EndNote library using the EndNote Sync process.
  • Sign up for an EndNote account through your desktop software and then log in to the mobile version at web.endnote.com.

EndNote frequently releases new versions.  Look for instructions and images specific to your version.  (It can be confusing.)
