Library Search

To log in to your library account, click the Sign In button in the top menu.  You'll be taken to a login screen for entering your EID and password, then to use the DUO multifactor authentication, both ON and OFF campus. 

You don't have to log in to do basic searching.  But you must sign in to your library account with your UT EID and password in order to:

• See your currently checked out books and renew.
• View Fines/Fees.
• Place Pick It Up requests or view the status of a request.
• View search history (created each session, and deleted upon logout).
• Save and organize favorite records.
• Add labels to saved records in order to create lists.
• Save search queries between sessions.
• Set up alerts for specific saved searches.
• See results from some Articles & More sources that are restricted to UT Austin users.

The Library Search interface doesn't have a feature that saves a list of all the items you've checked out from the library in the past.  However, you can create one manually using the My Favorites function:

1. Log in to your account with your UT EID and password.
2. Search for the book(s) you checked out.
3. Use the pin icon in the book record to mark the book.
4. Navigate to "My Favorites" by clicking on the pin icon at the top right.
5. Click "Add Labels" to create a "Borrowing History" label if desired.
6. View your list later by clicking the pin button when logged in.
