National Poetry Month: Native and Indigenous Poetry

Resources

From Instagram

April is National Poetry Month, and this year, we’re featuring some recent highlights from the PCL’s rich collection of poetry by Native American, Indigenous, and First Nations writers.

It’s easy to assume that Native and Indigenous poetry only focuses on nature and spirituality. These books of poetry, however, include trickster cyborgs, typography, Mojave Barbie, and mac n cheese. You might be delightfully surprised by what else you discover in these collections.

We hope you’ll stop by the PCL Poetry Center all month long to find these and many other great collections of poetry!
