Banned Books Week

Books

From Instagram

Banned Books Week is an international celebration of the freedom to read. It's been held every September since 1982, with events at libraries, bookstores, and schools. In 2021, Texas Schools and libraries saw an uptick to banned and challenged books, particularly books with LGBTQ+ themes. Some of these featured books are among the top ten of most banned books in the U.S. last year.
