Diverse Voices in STEM

In collaboration with Roxanne Bogucka: STEM Liaison Librarian for Health Sciences and Adjunct Assistant Professor we present Diverse Voices in Stem.

When educators ask kids, "What does a scientist look like?" (California Academy of Sciences, n.d.) young students often draw pictures of white men in lab coats. Those perceptions are broadening (Langin, 2018), in no small part due to the lives and careers of STEM* researchers from the wider community. Read and/or watch these stories--some inspiring, some quite sad--of diverse scientists.
