According to the American Library Association (ALA), 2023 has been the year with the most books challenged documented. In response to these challenges, the ALA has created Let Freedom Read Day, which will be celebrated on September 28th this year. As the first Banned Books Week day of action, Let Freedom Read Day asks readers to stand up to censorship. This can be through checking out a banned book. Here are some that we have at the UT Libraries.
