Geoscience information can take many forms: peer-reviewed journals, monographs, geological survey reports, field guides, government documents, maps, and many more. In general the publications in this field tend to be more "gray" than those in the other hard sciences, and sometimes more difficult to obtain. In addition, primary resources such as academic theses are more important to basic research than they are in other fields. The pages in the left side menu are intended to help demystify these formats and point you in the right direction.
